  • IMPORTANT NOTE: This recipe requires a large pot. You will be adding 12 cups of water (3 quarts) to the pot, in addition to all of the ingredients. It is important that the pot you use is large enough. If you don't have a large enough pot, you should be able to split the recipe in half but keep in mind that the cooking time should be reduced.

  • Allow the chicken to defrost in the fridge overnight or place under cold running water for 15 minutes.

  • Cut the chicken into large chunks then set aside.

  • Fill a large pot with 3 quarts (12 cups) of water.

  • Turn heat to high then add celery, carrots, onions, chicken, and the chicken base.

  • Bring to boil then reduce heat to medium and cover the pot. Cook for about 30 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  • Add the potatoes, and pasta and cover then continue to cook for another 15 – 20 minutes while stirring occasionally.

  • Check the soup's consistency. If it seems too thick, add some water and cook for a few more minutes. If it's too thin, allow to cook uncovered for a few more minutes.
